Many companies are probably showing regrets on their dependency on one manufacturer for items they directly purchase. In a supply chain system company owners or managers know the risk of single sourcing however they take risk in order to make sure their supply is enough to meet supply and demand target. They might have some limited options to choose from but unfortunately those options were evidently options that they get only in China. This pandemic teaches us that risk management principles should be taken seriously through application especially through companies who really value their supply of goods for revenue.
